Bill as Lennon
Bill Walters, a 35 year veteran of the show business wars of New York City, has decided to expose the soft underbelly of the Broadway Theatre. Instead of sending a letter to the Times or writing a hard-hitting drama dealing with why producers act like producers and not like civilized human beings, Mr. Walters has chosen to embark on a new form of performance art, inflicting a series of informative and entertaining Walking Tours of  New York's Theatre District upon the unsuspecting and gullible public. With a juicy story about every theatre still standing, and many that aren't, he drags his audience with him, demolishing cherished theatrical legends along the way from 42nd Street through the West 40's and all the way up to 53rd Street.

Bill has worked in the theatre since 1963, on Broadway and off, out in the sticks, on tour, and half way around the world. He is a licensed tour guide, a member of Actors Equity and Screen Actors Guild, and well qualified to get to the bottom of the politics, the gossip, and the real estate deals that animate the theatre scene of the Big Apple. He covers all this with an informed and lovingly jaundiced eye unavailable to the run-of-the-mill double-decker sightseeing company.

So when the weather is clement, or any other time you feel you can get a group of your artistically curious or culturally disadvantaged friends together, check out what we have to offer. You can't go wrong (actually, you can go wrong, but not with us) with NEW YORK CURMUDGEON TOURS. You will probably find out more than you may ever want to know about what makes the Gotham Performing Arts Scene tick.
